With two buildings totalling 49,187 square feet on a 13.52 acre site in Deer Park’s Seaco 8 Business Park, the build will serve as the new headquarters and regional service operations site for the company. Recently, Germany-based MAN Diesel & Turbo SE – the world’s leading provider of large-bore diesel engine and turbomachinery used in stationary and marine applications – announced itself as the first tenant in the 650-acre Twinwood business park, which will be under the ownership of Welcome Group, with construction to be carried out on the facility by KDW. Consolidating its Houston locations into a new 137,242 square foot North American headquarters at Twinwood under one roof will enable MAN Diesel & Turbo to streamline operations and grow its equipment servicing capabilities.
Located south of Interstate 10 between Woods Road and FM 1489, the project at Twinwood will start in the second quarter, and is expected to take approximately one year to complete. “Our goal has been to bring our two Houston area operations under one roof,” stated Man Diesel & Turbo’s Managing Director Tony Ruegger in a media release of the new facility, which will house an estimated 140 employees. “We’re certainly looking forward to expanding our equipment servicing capabilities in Twinwood.”
