PCL strikes new deal with HammerTech to optimize safety

PCL Construction, one of North America’s largest construction firms, announced a multi-year deal with HammerTech, a safety intelligence software company, to make job sites safer and more efficient across global operations.

The technology, which serves over 500 clients worldwide and is used on more than 20,000 live construction projects across that footprint, is built on the premise that robust safety programs are key to efficiency and effectiveness on the worksite, and will afford PCL agility and adaptability when it comes to changing processes, reporting, and data management.

“Safety is a guiding principle that shapes every decision we make at PCL,” said Jim Barry, Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment, PCL. “HammerTech will arm our teams with the technology they need to streamline administration, collaborate more easily with our trade partners and propel us towards our pursuit of a ‘zero-incident’ future.”

“As the latest addition to our technology ecosystem, HammerTech will allow us to gather more sophisticated data around our safety programs,” says Mark Bryant, Chief Information Officer, PCL. “Robust data helps inform decision-making, improve process and ultimately creates a safer workplace for everyone on our job sites.”

HammerTech is credited with being able to solve the most sophisticated safety operations and support the intelligence needs of even the largest global players in the construction industry, and will support PCL in solidifying its safety culture further.
